Reed Janousek, AVP Bulk – Union Pacific 

A University of Nebraska–Lincoln graduate, Reed Janousek began his Union Pacific career in 2011 in the railroad's audit organization before moving into commercial leadership roles. As Assistant Vice President – Bulk, Janousek leads strategy and customer engagement for Union Pacific's bulk portfolio, including grain, grain products, coal, and fertilizer. 

In this role, he is responsible for aligning commercial strategy with customer supply chains, driving volume growth, and ensuring reliable, competitive rail solutions across the bulk network. He works closely with customers and internal partners to develop service offerings that support agricultural producers, energy markets, and industrial supply chains, while advancing Union Pacific's long‑term growth and service objectives. 

Janousek is focused on strengthening customer relationships, improving coordination across stakeholders, and delivering practical, market‑driven solutions. He continues to build his expertise as a railroader and industry leader, sharing insights and best practices through industry forums and customer engagements.
