Jody Peacock

Jody Peacock is the Chief Executive officer of Ports of Indiana, a statewide port authority operating three ports on the Ohio River and Lake Michigan that generate $8.7 billion annually in economic impact. He has served the organization in multiple leadership roles since 2001 and was appointed CEO in 2023.

Established in 1961, Ports of Indiana is a self-funded enterprise dedicated to advancing the state’s economy through multimodal infrastructure and industrial development. As CEP of the Midwest’s only statewide port system, Mr. Peacock oversees three ports, 2,800 acres of industrial parks, three short-line railroads and a statewide network of foreign-trade zones.

A recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash, the state’s highest civilian honor, and the Distinguished Hoosier Award, Mr. Peacock has been appointed by four Indiana governors to serve on regional and international boards. A lifelong Hoosier, he grew up on a pig farm in east central Indiana and earned his MBA from Indiana University.

Since becoming CEO, Mr. Peacock has led Ports of Indiana to three consecutive years of record growth, established new international partnerships and launched groundbreaking initiatives to increase the economic impact of Indiana’s ports.
