Mike Hogan, Consolidated Grain and Barge Co.

Mike Hogan joined Consolidated Grain and Barge in 2014 after spending nearly 13 years working with producers and end users of commodities at one of the nation’s largest commodity consulting groups. Mike is currently charged with leading the company wide origination efforts, along with leading a team that distributes market information internally and to CGB’s Large Producer customer base across 135 grain elevator assets. Mike has also traded cash commodities and barge freight while at CGB.

Before joining CGB, Mike led a consulting team responsible for grain and dairy marketing for eight years, before transitioning over to work with Institutional Investors and commercial end users of commodities. This experience has given him in-depth knowledge of the agricultural derivative markets along with many other non-ag related derivative markets. Mike has given presentations to many groups including Cornell University’s Annual Ag Economics Conference, he spoken at the Commodity Classic, and has been a featured guest analyst on TV and Radio programming most notably the US Farm Report and AgDay television shows.  Mike is a Purdue University graduate and held a Series 3 license. He enjoys golfing, traveling and spending time with his young family.
