Tracy Intihar, Ohio Department of Agriculture

Tracy D. Intihar is the Assistant Director of ODA where she manages daily administrative operations of the department.

As Assistant Director, Intihar oversaw ODA’s campaign to secure funding for a new Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, which is imperative to supporting Ohio’s growing livestock and agriculture industries. She also spearheaded special multi-agency collaborations including the Ohio CAN and Beginning Farmer Tax Credit programs and the Ohio Agriculture Working Group, in addition to representing Ohio agriculture in numerous federal and state forums.

Intihar previously served as Director of the Office of Workforce Transformation where she was successful in helping to better align and improve Ohio’s complex workforce development system. Prior to that appointment, she served as Cabinet Secretary for the Kasich Administration, working with agency directors on priority reform initiatives and day-to-day operations.

Intihar also served as Director of Legislative Affairs for two Ohio House Speakers, a role in which she was charged with developing and managing the policy agenda. Her career in state government began as a Legislative Service Commission Fellow in the Ohio House of Representatives in 1993.

Intihar is a native of St. Marys and graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Communications
